Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3 will launch on April 2 at 9AM PT with a variety of new content, including fresh multiplayer maps, weapons, and operators. One of the most exciting additions is the arrival of Jay and Silent Bob, who will be introduced as playable operators in an in-season update.
Season 3 Roadmap and Content
The latest roadmap for Black Ops 6 Season 3 reveals three new multiplayer maps, including a remastered version of Firing Range from the original Black Ops. The Season 3 Battle Pass will feature new weapons like the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle and the HDR Sniper Rifle. Sharpshooter and Demolition modes are also being added to the multiplayer playlist, while Zombies fans can look forward to exploring the new Shattered Veil map.
As in previous seasons, the in-game shop will feature new operators and skins throughout the season. A major “Reloaded” mid-season update will introduce even more content, including additional maps, weapons, and operators.
Jay and Silent Bob Arrive Post-Launch
Jay and Silent Bob, played by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, are joining Black Ops 6 as part of an in-season update. Their likenesses will be featured in two special Tracer Pack bundles that will be available for purchase in the in-game store.
The Tracer Pack Jay and Silent Bob bundle includes the Jay and Silent Bob operators, the Gimme a Light Finishing Move, the Doobie Wreck LW3A1 Frostline Sniper Rifle, the Golden Calf Kompakt 92 SMG, the Poppin’ Off Emote, Mooby’s Weapon Charm, the animated In Sync Calling Card, the Mooby Joint Large Decal, and the animated Snoochie Boochie Emblem.
Players can also pick up the Tracer Pack Bluntman and Chronic bundle, which features the duo’s superhero alter egos. This pack includes the Bluntman Stuntman Krig C Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint, the Chronic Unapologetic Jackal PDW SMG Weapon Blueprint, the Bong Staff melee weapon, the Smoke You Out Finishing Move, the Did That Happen Emote, the Joint Power Calling Card, the Blunts Out Suit Up Emblem, and the Doobage Duo Spray.
Both Jay and Silent Bob operator packs will be available for use in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 as well.
Rescheduled Launch Dates and Free Trial
Season 3’s launch date has changed multiple times. It was originally set for March 20 before being delayed to April 3 and then moved up to April 2. Activision has not given an official reason for the latest adjustment. As a bonus, April 2 will serve as a free trial period for Black Ops 6, giving new players 24 hours to try the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 will launch separately on April 3 at 9AM PT. Before its release, Warzone servers will be taken offline for 24 hours. Players who log in before the downtime will receive the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle for free.
More details about additional shop bundles and BlackCell content will be shared in a Treyarch blog post before the season launches.
