American Legion Gaming (ALG) will run its Holiday Charity Drive from December 15 through December 31, a seasonal campaign focused on providing custom-built gaming setups to disabled veterans.
The campaign is designed to turn community support into direct impact and use gaming to improve the quality of life for veterans facing physical and mental health challenges. Supporters are encouraged to donate to the campaign and help push the message “Be The One To Play It Forward” throughout the community.
ALG says the drive is built on the belief that gaming is more than entertainment. For many veterans, gaming offers therapy, routine, and connection. It can help reduce isolation and create a sense of belonging. ALG strives to turn that belief into action by delivering high-quality gaming equipment to veterans who can benefit from it most, especially during the holiday season.
The fundraising goal is set at 2,300 dollars, which covers the cost of one complete gaming setup. Each package includes a custom-built gaming PC, a monitor, a gaming keyboard and mouse, a high-quality headset, and shipping and handling. ALG says the goal is not to stop at one system. Every additional 2,300 dollars raised will fund another full setup. If enough money is raised, multiple veterans will receive gaming rigs.
Donations will be accepted from December 15 through December 31 at 11:59 pm PST. Winner selection will take place on January 1. If funding allows, additional winners will be selected shortly afterward. The campaign will continue raising funds until the end of the month, with the number of recipients tied directly to the total amount raised.
Entry eligibility is limited to disabled veterans with a verifiable service-connected disability rating of at least 10 percent or higher. Service and disability status must be verified. Eligible veterans may enter through the official Gleam giveaway page at americanlegion.gg/giveaways. Gleam will handle all entries, verification, and final selection.
Veterans can earn bonus entries by completing any of the 32 engagement activities listed on the Gleam page. For instance, following Chriscalibrr, Medic_Always, or JagoThaCiv on Twitch awards 10 additional entries. Subscribing to American Legion Gaming’s YouTube channel earns 100 bonus entries, while subscribing to ALG on Kick provides 150 bonus entries.
Participants can earn additional entries by engaging with ALG across its platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Kick, Twitch, the ALG website, and the ALG Discord community. Engagement is designed to help build awareness while keeping the process accessible to veterans.
During the two-week campaign, a total of 14 bonus codes will be randomly distributed during ALG livestreams. Anyone who obtains a code can use it to earn extra entries on the Gleam page. ALG will not announce which streamers have codes or when they will be shared. Viewers must watch live to catch them. This is designed to encourage viewers to tune in throughout the campaign.
Supporters are encouraged to donate, share the campaign, and watch streams to help deliver connection, hope, and community to disabled veterans this holiday season.
“Let’s build as many gaming setups as we can — one donation, one veteran, one act of kindness at a time.”

I’m a disabled veteran living Southern New Mexico and would like to voluteer with building, troubleshoot or repairing PC’s for disabled veterans. I’m not certified but I am self taught and have been doing it since I recieved my first gateway pc in 1998. I also want to thank American Legion for teaming with groups like Regiment to bring gaming to disabled veterans.
