WOW State of Azeroth

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a series of livestreamed showcases taking place this week and into early February, which will give players an early look at what’s planned for its major franchises. The events run from late January through mid-February and will feature World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, Hearthstone, and Diablo.

Fans can find full schedules, start times, and viewing options by checking Blizzard’s official showcase guide.

The schedule begins with World of Warcraft: State of Azeroth on Thursday, January 29, at 9 a.m. PT. Blizzard says the presentation will provide updates on the future of World of Warcraft, including plans for both the modern game and its Classic versions. Previous “State of Azeroth” presentations have focused on expansion plans, major system updates, and where development time is being spent. With World of Warcraft running across several versions, the January showcase is expected to explain how Blizzard plans to support the MMO for the rest of the year.

Next up is the Overwatch 2 Spotlight on February 4 at 10 a.m. PT. The game has continued to receive updates, and this event appears to be Blizzard’s opportunity to share what’s coming next. Viewers can expect details on future seasons, hero updates, and competitive changes, along with a clearer picture of where the franchise is heading. Giving Overwatch 2 its own spotlight suggests Blizzard is refocusing on the game’s future and how it responds to player feedback.

Blizzard will then turn to its digital card game with the Hearthstone Spotlight on February 9 at 9:30 a.m. PT. Hearthstone showcases typically center on new expansions, card mechanics, and balance updates. Blizzard has also continued to expand Hearthstone through alternative modes and experimental formats, making the February presentation an important moment for players looking to understand how the game will continue to evolve in 2026.

The series concludes with the Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight on February 11 at 2 p.m. PT. The Diablo franchise turns 30 in 2026, and Blizzard is treating the milestone as both a celebration of where the series began and a preview of what’s next. Along with looking back on Diablo’s legacy, the presentation is expected to share updates on future plans for the franchise, including continued development for Diablo IV.

Blizzard has said these showcases are meant to create more direct communication with players. Each event will stream live on Blizzard’s official channels and franchise-specific platforms, making them easy to watch worldwide. The showcases are scheduled months before BlizzCon 2026, which Blizzard has confirmed will return later in the year.

For fans, the early 2026 lineup provides a clearer look at what Blizzard’s teams are working on without having to wait for one big convention. For Blizzard, the showcases help set expectations early and keep interest going across its major franchises as 2026 gets underway.
