Capcom is bringing two of its biggest franchises together in an action-packed collaboration that fans won’t want to miss. On May 28, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive a major update introducing characters, themed gear, and special content from Street Fighter 6. This crossover combines the high-octane fighting of Street Fighter with the intense monster battles of Monster Hunter Wilds in both free and paid DLC.
At the center of this update is Akuma, the iconic fighter who channels the Satsui no Hado. Players can take on a new side mission, Ultimate Strength, available to those with Hunter Rank 21 or higher, by speaking to Quinn at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp in Azuz, the Everforge. Completing this mission will unlock Akuma’s full armor set and layered armor, both of which let players use his signature fighting moves. These include special attacks like Gou Hadoken, Gou Shoryuken, and Shun Goku Satsu.
The gear also activates exclusive gestures and actions that mimic Akuma’s brutal style, complete with recreated visual effects from Street Fighter 6, such as the Drive Impact system. Equipping the full armor set significantly boosts attack power compared to the layered set. Players can access Akuma’s moves from the Item Bar using the Assisted Combo: Akuma item. These combos scale with the equipped main weapon and can cause stun effects, adding a new layer of strategy to your hunts.

In addition to Akuma, the collaboration brings themed content for the player’s Palico. The Blanka-Chan α armor set transforms the furry companion into a mini version of the electrified Street Fighter icon. This set includes animations and visual flair that match Blanka’s personality and style.
Players can earn these collaboration rewards by completing the arena quests titled Demonic Strength and True Strength, both of which use preset equipment to level the playing field. These quests, along with the side mission, offer a new challenge and a satisfying way to unlock crossover gear.
Alma in Cammy and Chun-Li outfits
Capcom is also launching paid DLC. This includes Chun-Li and Cammy outfits for Alma, a Blanka-Chan doll pendant, a Street Fighter 6 sticker set, and special moves like Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku. These moves are not just for show; they deal real damage in battle and add another layer of Street Fighter flair to the player’s hunts.
The entire collaboration will become a permanent part of the game as of update 1.011.00.00. Players can access the content at any time after its release. Monster Hunter Wilds is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
