Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC Valley of Memory

Ubisoft is celebrating the second anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Mirage with the announcement of Valley of Memory, a free story expansion launching on November 18. The update offers up to six hours of new gameplay for anyone who owns the base game, giving players the chance to explore fresh locations, face new challenges, and continue Basim’s story before the main adventure reaches its finale.

In Valley of Memory, Basim learns that his long-lost father might still be alive in AlUla. He sets out to uncover the truth, only to discover that the valley is threatened by a dangerous band of robbers and that his father is missing. Set in 9th-century AlUla, the expansion features a variety of environments, from the old town and Musa Ibn Musayr fortress to the Valley of the Stones and the necropolis of Hegra. Players must navigate these areas carefully, avoiding traps and ambushes set by the robbers while uncovering the region’s history.

The expansion adds a wide range of new content, including a main quest, assassination targets, side quests, and contracts. Players can also complete parkour challenges to collect music sheets, which allow Basim to play the oud at certain locations. The expansion also introduces a new variation on the series’ black box missions that players will discover as they progress.

Valley of Memory brings improvements that affect gameplay throughout the game. All black box missions and contracts in both Mirage and the new expansion are now replayable. Players can access these challenges through the “Animus Sequences” menu or directly in the world, with objectives such as avoiding Eagle Vision, targeting only one enemy, staying undetected, or completing tasks within a time limit. Completing these challenges unlocks exclusive rewards.

Parkour has been enhanced with the ability to manually jump, enabling freerunning sequences that were not possible before. Players can also customize side and back ejects without needing a clear landing spot, and a new control scheme smooths movement between rooftops for a more fluid experience.

Tool and skill customization has been expanded with the addition of Engineer 2, a new skill that allows all level 1 modifications to be applied to tools, along with a new level 3 modification for all tools. Two new difficulty levels have also been added, letting players adjust the challenge to their preference.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available now on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, iOS, and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, with the free expansion arriving November 18.
