PAX East

American Legion Gaming will be attending PAX East in Boston this month, joining one of the biggest gaming events in the country as thousands of players, developers, and creators gather for a weekend built around games and community.

Taking place March 26 through March 29 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, PAX East has become a go-to event for anyone connected to gaming. It brings together major studios, indie developers, content creators, and fans in one place, giving people a chance to play, learn, and connect face-to-face.

The expo hall is expected to feature hundreds of exhibitors, including companies like Nintendo, Atari, Double Fine Productions, Blumhouse Games, and NIS America. Alongside those names, a large number of indie developers will be showing off new and upcoming titles. Attendees can try a major release, then walk a few steps and discover something completely new from a smaller team.

Panels and live sessions are a big part of the weekend. This year’s schedule includes sessions focused on games like Warframe and Dead by Daylight, along with conversations around game development, storytelling, and the gaming community itself. There is also a special presentation connected to the Halloween franchise, with input from Malek Akkad and John Carpenter joining virtually.

Game developer Xalavier Nelson Jr., known for leading Strange Scaffold and putting out a steady stream of creative titles, is among the featured speakers. Like most years, the event will also include appearances from developers, voice actors, and content creators who take part in panels, signings, and live shows throughout the weekend.

PAX East is not just about video games. Tabletop gaming plays a big role, with Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, and Pokémon TCG all part of the experience. There are also tournaments, open play areas, and sessions for people who want to sit down and play with others.

Beyond that, the event has its own energy. Cosplay, meetups, live shows, and concerts all add to the atmosphere. It is the kind of place where people show up for games but end up staying for the community.

American Legion Gaming will be on-site throughout the event, connecting with veterans, gamers, and anyone interested in ALG’s mission. Gaming has become a real outlet for many veterans, helping with stress, routine, and staying connected with others.

If you are attending PAX East and have a question, want to say hi, or just want to talk, come up and connect with the American Legion Gaming staff on the show floor.
