Originally called Skulls for the Skull Throne, the festival first launched in 2017 and was renamed Warhammer Skulls in 2021. It has grown into an annual celebration of Warhammer video games, drawing fans from around the world. This year’s showcase will include new reveals and updates for nine confirmed titles. These include Space Marine 2, Darktide, Mechanicus 2, Rogue Trader, Total War Warhammer III, Tacticus, Vermintide 2, Warpforge, and Battlesector. Genres range from co-op action and first-person shooters to real-time and turn-based strategy.
Rahul Kohli, who is also known for voicing Malum Caedo in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and for his role in Midnight Mass, returns to host the showcase for the third year in a row. In a press statement, he said that Warhammer Skulls is the kind of event he would be watching every year if he were not already hosting it. He promised fans a great show with exciting reveals.
The celebration is not just about game updates. Warhammer Skulls will also bring major discounts to many Warhammer titles across all major platforms. Players can expect up to 90 percent off on select games and downloadable content. The sale will run on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation. In addition to discounts, some games are also set to receive free updates, though exact details have not been announced yet.
