The latest trailer for Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked gives fans their first real look at how this crossover blends classic tabletop elements with digital gameplay. The video showcases in-game footage, story details, and confirms a late 2025 release window for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Meta Quest.

Set in the Forgotten Realms, Battlemarked takes players to locations such as Cragmaw Castle, Mount Hotenow, and Neverwinter. Built on the Demeo Action Roleplaying System, ARPS, the game brings official Dungeons & Dragons classes, mechanics, and lore into a digital board game format. Players will control detailed 3D miniatures, roll oversized dice, and use action cards to strategize in turn-based combat.

Unlike past Demeo titles, Battlemarked puts more focus on narrative. Resolution Games hired longtime Dungeons & Dragons writer Matt Sernett, known for his work on Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, to lead the story development. According to Sernett, the first campaign will revisit Neverwinter Wood, a setting familiar to many fans since the launch of fifth edition D&D.

The new trailer offers a closer look at the game’s tactical combat, fantasy setting, and story-driven approach. At launch, Battlemarked will feature multiple story-based campaigns, with additional adventures planned as downloadable content. Players will uncover dark plots, form alliances, and influence the storyline through their decisions. The game replaces a traditional dungeon master with a system-driven narrative, allowing 1 to 4 players to focus on co-op gameplay and tactical planning.

While the game is optimized for VR, it also supports standard controllers and can be played without a headset. Compatibility has been confirmed for Steam, PS5, Meta Quest, and PlayStation VR2. Steam Deck support has not yet been addressed.

Battlemarked follows in the footsteps of Demeo and Demeo Battles, both heavily influenced by classic tabletop RPGs. This new title is the first official Dungeons & Dragons VR game developed with direct involvement from Wizards of the Coast.

The trailer’s release comes amid a growing list of Dungeons & Dragons video game projects. In addition to Battlemarked, upcoming titles include a survival sim from Gameloft Montreal, a multiplayer project by Starbreeze, and a single-player action adventure from Giant Skull. A future Baldur’s Gate sequel is also expected from a new developer, though Larian Studios will not return for it.

Battlemarked is now available to wishlist on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Meta Quest. With a late 2025 release planned, players can expect more updates in the coming months as development continues.
