Bellring Games has announced that the third beta for Mistfall Hunter will open in September, giving players another chance to explore its dangerous fantasy world. The extraction-based action RPG, which mixes player-versus-environment and player-versus-player combat, is planned for release later this year on PC and Xbox Series.
The game takes place in a dark realm left in ruin after the fall of the gods. When divine blood spilled across the land, it created a poisonous fog known as the Gyldenmist, twisting creatures and corrupting the world itself. Players step into the role of Gylden Hunters, champions brought back from death by a mysterious goddess called Dew. These hunters are tasked with venturing into the mist to claim powerful relics called Gyldenblod, which may be the key to rebuilding civilization.
Gameplay is built around third-person combat with a strong focus on risk and reward. Players can choose from several distinct classes, form groups, and fight both monsters and rival hunters. Extraction mechanics raise the stakes during each mission, since dying inside the mist means losing all gathered loot. Success requires careful planning, precise combat, and a willingness to risk everything for greater rewards.
The third beta test will introduce several major updates to the experience. A new hub area called The Camp will serve as a gathering place where hunters can regroup between missions, enhance their gear, and interact with characters from the story. This hub will also provide opportunities for players to team up before returning to the mist.
Character options are also being expanded. For the first time, players will be able to select female versions of the five main classes: Sorcerer, Black Arrow, Shadowstrix, Mercenary, and Seer. Early customization tools will enable more personal expression, giving hunters a stronger sense of identity in a dangerous world.
The beta will also add new challenges. A corrupted commander named General Harald has been revealed as the latest boss. Once a respected military leader, he now serves as a powerful foe twisted by the Gyldenmist. Hunters who manage to defeat him will be rewarded with rare treasures, but the fight is expected to be among the toughest in the game so far. In addition, Seer players will gain access to a new subclass called the Blasphemer Seer, which abandons divine power in exchange for destructive elemental attacks with heavy weapons.
Registration for Beta 3 is open now on Steam, and players who signed up for earlier phases are automatically included. Bellring Games is also expected to showcase the game at PAX West, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience the new build firsthand. With its upcoming beta, the game is building momentum as a major entry in the dark fantasy RPG scene.
